This internship consists of 100 academic hours, 25 consecutive weekly sessions, each lasting 3 hours. Please note that no internship activities are held during the month of August.
The program is designed for students enrolled in Master's programs in Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology, Clinical Social Work, and other mental health–related disciplines. It is also suitable for physicians, healthcare professionals, social workers, practicing psychologists, and psychotherapists who wish to develop advanced clinical skills in a hospital setting.
The internship includes:
Theoretical training in clinical psychology and psychosomatic medicine
Training in clinical interviewing, psychological assessment, intervention techniques, prevention, and psychological support
Supervised observation of psychological consultations in the clinical departments of Lozenetz University Hospital
Participation in psychological consultations with patients experiencing a wide range of medical conditions, including:
Participation in bedside psychological consultations
Observation of preoperative and postoperative psychological consultations
Observation of psychological work with bedridden patients
Small-group case discussions and clinical reflections
Opportunity to present clinical cases and participate in professional case conferences
Clinical consultations are conducted in small groups of 2–3 participants, ensuring close supervision and active involvement.
Each internship group consists of a maximum of 8–10 participants. Once a group reaches capacity, applicants will be offered the next available starting date.
Upon successful completion, participants receive a Certificate of Completion issued by the Educational Department of Lozenetz University Hospital.
A minimum attendance of 80% is required in order to receive the certificate.
